Comme aucun autre compositeur, Cherubini pr\u00e9para le chemin pour le Grand Op\u00e9ra ; sa musique sacr\u00e9e \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme maxime et \u00e9tape importante. Ses contemporaines et les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations suivantes lui per\u00e7urent comme une personnalit\u00e9 stimulante, comme compositeur exemplaire, qui eut souvent l\u2019air in\u00e9gal, mais aussi provocant.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019intention particulaire de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Internationale du Luigi Cherubini est l\u2019aide, le d\u00e9veloppement et la recherche scientifique ainsi que la repr\u00e9sentation des \u0153uvres du Cherubini. Les r\u00e9sultats sont synth\u00e9tis\u00e9s au <em>Luigi Cherubini-Werkausgabe<\/em> (Anton J. Benjamin \/ Simrock), au <em>Cherubini Studies<\/em> et au p\u00e9riodique r\u00e9gulier <em>Cherubiniana <\/em>(K\u00f6nigshausen &amp; Neumann). Les \u0153uvres de tous les genres et stations de vie du Cherubini sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es dedans.<\/p>\n<p>Une mission importante de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Internationale du Luigi Cherubini est de favoriser une pr\u00e9sence convenable pour l\u2019\u0153uvre de Cherubini \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne, aux salles de concert et aux \u00e9glises, qui refl\u00e8te la reconnaissance du compositeur et qui lui m\u00e9rite comme personnage cl\u00e9 au dialogue europ\u00e9enne \u00e0 la fin du XVIII<sup>e<\/sup> et au d\u00e9but du XIX<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle.
